2020 All State Registration, Deadlines, & Fees

MMEA is excited to offer a series of engaging major events in 2019-2020. December 9-20, 2019, All State notifications are anticipated and shared with the music teacher/director. All State partcipation information, online registration forms, student rules, parent/guardian rules, spirit gear, and guest conductors, will be available in late-November/early-December 2019. Anticipated fees are below and subject to change. January 10, 2020 is the deadline for All State commitment, registration, and payment. To prepare for auditions, the All State 2019-2020 Handbook will be available in late-August/early-September. Auditions: Junior auditions are scheduled for November 16 and Senior auditions are scheduled for November 23. September 27 is the application deadline for All State Junior audutions (Grades 7-9) and October 4 is the application deadline for All State Senior auditions (Grades 10-12): submitted online by the music teacher/director only. The anticipated rehearsal schedule is avilable.

  • All State Audition Commitment Fee: $8.00 credit card online, check, or money order only by the deadline. No cash will be accepted in advance or at the door.

All State is one of the most valuable musical experiences a student can have, and there are associated costs. In addition to all the preparation, the musical expense (conductors, the music, the moving of equipment, etc.) are supported by MMEA and most school administrators. Students pay for their hotel room and meals and the bus transportation from the hotel to the concert site. All students spend two nights in the hotel as assigned, under chaperon supervision.

  • All State Commitment/Registration Fee: $450 public school and $555 private school

Student Schedules include meals, 8 hours sleep, and 3-8 hours of rehearsals each day, dress rehearsals, as well as group transportation to/from the rehearsals supervised by chaperones who are local teachers. Students are not able to be excused or miss rehearsals for any reason and must be onsite for the duration of the All State weekend.

  • Concert Admission: $20 online in advance and $20 at the door. Credit card is accepted in advance. Checks will be accepted at the door. No cash will be accepted in advance or at the door. Two complimentary tickets will be included with the students’ music. All other admission must be completed online or at the door.

  • Spirit Gear: On-line orders only by the deadline. Not available on site. T-Shirt, Long-Sleeve T-Shirt, Sweatshirt, and Hoodie range from $25.00-$45.00 (TBD).

  • Performances: MP3 audio/Video/CD/DVD: MP3 audio $22/Video $25/CD $35/ DVD $45 (subject to change)
